The Jisc Digital Leaders Programme is linked strongly to the work being done in Jisc Digital Capabilities and will aim to give leaders tools and ideas to help in making best use of digital in both their own practice and in leading their teams. Helping them to increase the digital capability of their organisation.
The programme consists of two residential workshops and two webinars. Delegates will need to commit to attending both the workshops and the webinars. The pilot of the programme is now confirmed as running across October and November 2015.
The content of the workshops will be a mixture of interactive workshops and content around digital capabilities. At the end of the workshops delegates will have had the opportunity to reflect on both their own practice and personal digital capabilities and the opportunities for their organisations to look at and engage with how they are using technology at both strategic and operational levels.
A range of areas will be covered on the course with the first residential workshop focusing on your own individual practice, and the second residential focusing on leading departments and organisations, indicative areas covered are:
- Developing strategy
- Embedding and sustaining change
- Developing an innovation culture
- Information governance, security and privacy concerns for leaders
- Enabling staff to work with digitally
- Cloud computing
- Analytics for supporting learners
- Analytics for business intelligence
- Social media for leaders
- Technology to support research
All workshops will take place in Bristol, commencing at 10:30 on day 1 and finishing at 15:30 on day 2.
